A lovely halal restaurant in the heart of Birmingham City Centre. Beautiful inside with an array of cultural decoration. Service was fantastic, food quality high and portion sizes very generous. The dishes were tasty and flavourful. The Prawn wanton soup had a flavourful broth which felt like a hug. The Nasi goreng kampang was delicious and the satay chicken was tender and soft (not dry and overcooked like most places). The Malysian milk tea was gentle and tasty. Reminded me of Indian Karak Chai but softer in sweetness. Will definitely be visiting again.

Came here for a quiet weekday evening meal. Can safely say it is one of the best Malay restaurants in England. Reasonably priced. The service was impeccable and the food was honestly amazing, we ordered a mix of dishes and each were as delicious as the other. Will definitely be visiting again. Well deserved 5 stars

Food is steaming hot when we get served and the waiters are so patient and kind to us. They will check on you all the times. This is the first time in an Asian place , they will ask you about serving time. Drinks choices are plenty. I will definitely come back again ( even though this is my third time being here

Malaya Classic offers a taste of home for those craving authentic Malaysian cuisine. The Nasi Lemak is rich and flavorful, while the Kway Teow Goreng and Mee Goreng are perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Each dish brings back delightful memories and captures the essence of Malaysian flavors. A must-visit for anyone missing the local delights! Special thanks to Han for his excellent service

We went on a Monday evening for our first family meal out after Ramadan. The restaurant was relatively quiet, as is to be expected on a Monday night. The dining area is well laid out and the restaurant is decorated nicely. We were seated immediately and ordered starters and mains. There is a wide selection of dishes, both Malaysian and Chinese. They were very accommodating of our dietary needs. Dishes came out quickly and the food was tasty, with thumbs up from the whole family. The bao buns and hokkien noodles were very tasty! A range of drinks are available (including alcoholic) and we opted for some mocktails which were really good. There's a good selection of desserts available too, the banana fritters went down really well with the family, as did the coconut ice cream, which was of very good quality. Prices were pretty much in line with what we expected to pay and not unusually expensive. We thought it reflected the quality of the food and service well. Highly recommend a visit if you like Malaysian food.

An amazing dining experience! We tried the Nasi Goreng and the Rendang Chicken, and both were absolutely delicious. The Nasi Goreng was perfectly seasoned with a delightful smoky flavor, and the Rendang Chicken was tender, rich, and bursting with authentic spices. The portions were generous, and the presentation was spot on. The staff were warm and welcoming, making the experience even better. If you’re looking for authentic Malaysian flavors, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes! Also Kai were attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed for a great dining experience.
